Spiritual Mentoring: Seeking emotional support is the first step…

you shall be met

I’d like to thank every kind soul who has taken the time to do their inner work with me and honor themselves with commitment and focus as well as put the time and the care, self kindness and honesty into our time together in sharing your life stories with me. This is indeed Sacred Bond work in action. Through trust and truth we’ve explored your path together until we’ve found your door and then the key, to your best future where I then hold it open and wave you on to your greatest adventures yet. Thank you all for letting me hold your hand a while until I knew your heart was smiling fully. You guys are all super stars, all unique and I’m so privileged to know you as you have touched my life too. Thank you for your kind words which you have kindly offered to be shared here…

'I didn't know how to cope with things. I was physically hurting myself most days and couldn't see a way out. Karen listened to me and helped me understand things and recognise behavioural patterns. She used one of her dogs to help me too as I feel safe with dogs. I was able to let go of my past traumas. She was patient and kind. I'm so much happier now. I don't feel so angry or sad anymore.' Catherine

‘I am profoundly grateful for your kindness and patience you have shown me. To do some of our spiritual sessions with your rescue dogs has been magical. You always lift my spirits and inspire me! Karen has encouraged me to connect more with my heart and less with my mind. She has been a fellow traveller on my spiritual journey. Sincerest thanks.' Minty

'Meeting Karen has quite literally changed my life. She has, and continues to, help me live in my now, in a new and completely honest way. Valuing and being true to myself was something I didn’t know possible whilst also living for others. Through Karen's spiritual mentoring, I have learnt that you can only really live when you are true to your own heart and by doing so, you not only show up for others but most importantly yourself. I believe that everyone will only be positively impacted by Karen and what she can teach you. She has inspired me to be true to me.' Annie

‘Thank you for leading me through your Sacred Bond work Karen and showing me how to tap into my heart. I don’t feel so alone or as anxious anymore with your spiritual tips to fall back on when I have a wobble. I feel calmer too and believe I can achieve things now with new confidence and courage you’ve helped me uncover. You listened to my worries and it felt incredible to talk things through with you rather than it all going around in my head. I check-in with my heart now first for truthful answers!’ Tanya

‘Karen is an extension of the qualities of mother nature that I greatly value and so I appreciate our entertaining and illuminating outdoor Sacred Bond sessions especially. She is a personification of kindness and devoid of pretences. Above all Karen has the uncanny ability to pierce through the veil of illusion by holding up an honest mirror that reveals our inner selves. She accepts us just as we are and gently yet firmly encourages us to be the truest version of ourselves. She reminds me of my ability to fly propelled by self belief, thereby realising our potential and transcending self imposed limitations. Like a catalyst she’s had a transformative effect on me and I’m sure that anyone who chooses to reach out to her may find that their life may never be the same again! ’ Sukanya

‘Thank you Karen for being an amazing person. So generous of spirit, kindness and compassion. I am so lucky to have such a gracious spiritual mentor to discuss all matters with - you make me feel comfortable so that I feel allowed to let any stress that I maybe experiencing overspill in the safe space you hold for me. Your support and encouragement means the world to me’. Kiran

‘I felt sick with fear as I wasn’t handling my divorce well, but felt so much lighter after our session when we cut energetic cords with my husband and some other people we discovered too in my life that were affecting me negatively . Picking up that long ignored unopened letter in my handbag from the solicitor and opening it with you watching over me that morning I felt a huge relief. Thank you for the courage you gave me and the patience in getting me back to centre every time I wanted to go down a rabbit hole of historic stories. I feel better able and clearer headed now to handle whatever the future brings me. Thank you Karen for being there for me.‘ Fiona

‘Off the Hook’ is Karen’s Debut Book

’Off The Hook’ was written using Karen’s pen-name Karen Kestrel as a debut author. This book is an open and honest account of how Karen navigated her new lifestyle choice of living without a mobile phone for a year in 2018. ‘It was a self-imposed challenge bought about due to stress caused by the constant pinging of my mobile which had me fire fighting most days rather than calmly getting through my to do list and enjoying my day.’ She shares the pitfalls and findings and passes on tips to help you discover the delight in really connecting with people, friends and teenagers especially in a straight-forward, old fashioned way - without filters, without the ambiguities of text or messages that disappear within seconds. ‘The real communication gold was that I rediscovered the joy of undivided attention and eye contact during the year long experiment!’

Book Reviews

“ Karen has her finger on the pulse of an epidemic that we are just barely starting to feel the effects from. Karen’s ‘Off the Hook’ is a must read. And be careful, you might be entertained along the way with her quick wit and amazing humor.”

— John Burgos, Host of Beyond The Ordinary Show

“Anyone who’s ever met this extraordinary lady can testify to her vibrancy, her boundless energy and the astonishing ‘can do’ positivity that radiates from Karen’s every pore. It’s extraordinary. You know when you meet up with someone, and afterwards, you just want punch the air? Yup. That’s the Karen Kestrel Effect in action.

I have loved and adored reading Karen’s stories from the coalface about life as a 21st century busy working professional and Mum to two teenagers – and all without a mobile phone.  I loved the humour, the sharp observations and the warmth and compassion that shone through on every page. To this day, I don’t know how she managed it – and yet she did, with growing confidence and an unwavering belief in her ultimate goal – to live in heart and to bring real, true equipoise to this world.

Karen, my dear friend, this world needs you and your message and I am honoured beyond words to write this little foreword for you. All love.”

— Claudia Carroll, Bestselling Author and Actress

“This is a book that has found it’s time as people are reaching out for ways to become truly connected in this digital age.

Karen’s concept of becoming dis-engaged from one’s smartphone seems at first sight rather drastic and yet Karen has set forth undaunted to test-drive this new lifestyle choice and shares her well observed findings and experiences with humour, honesty and most importantly heart. Being happy and having good mental health is a fundamental right of every young person and I hope that this book will prove an inspiration to many who want to make a positive change to their world.”

— Sir Anthony Seldon, Author and Contemporary Historian

“The message in the book spoke to my heart and moved me to tears. Karen has inspired me to reconnect with my true self and helped me disconnect from the mental chatter! Off the Hook is the go-to book.”

— Professor Sukanya Sen Gupta, RHUL London University
